Hello, I'm Tracey!
I'm a multidisciplinary iOS Software Engineer developing delightful apps beloved by kids and adults alike, which empower everyone to unleash their creativity and maximise their productivity.
I taught myself Swift and Python, and have studied programming language design independently and under the guidance of programming luminary, Alan Kay. I taught myself to code as a teenager making games on Hopscotch–my projects have been played over a million times.
Founder of Blossom Blaze Studio, creating Noteworthy: a beautiful, highly-aesthetic journalling & planner app. Previously iOS Engineer at NYC tech startup Hopscotch—developing an award-winning, powerful & accessible tool to help kids learn to code.

At Hopscotch, we added a help tip that shows a handy description of each coding block right when you need it.
Scenes Editor Workflow
We redesigned the scenes creation flow in Hopscotch to let users easily make advanced multi-level games and projects.
Onboarding Revamp
We increased subscription conversion rates by more than 20% by revamping our onboarding flow in the Hopscotch app.
Major Undo/Redo Feature
I helped implement a significant refactor of our coding editor to accommodate a robust undo/redo system in Hopscotch, which lets kids freely explore alternative ideas while coding.
Sky Music Sheet Maker
An open-source fan project for the game Sky: Children of the Light & the EASYPLAY 1s music keyboard. It lets players generate easy-to-read visual music sheets in the style of these 5x3 grids.
